RE: Roof Fan

I had a Shurflo vent fan installed in our bedroom also. It works as advertised. When I don't want the outside air brought in, keep the lid closed and run the fan on low for quietness. Circulates the air good. I do have two other fantastic fans in other parts of trailer but can't run them with the lid closed.

RE: Skylight cover

We made covers out of the reflective stuff. Added velcro strips to hold in place.

RE: Valve stems

Another good reason for the metal stems is if you ever want to use a tire pressure monitoring system, they suggest you use metal stems.

RE: To step down or not?

You may take a big hit on your Alfa BUT there are some very good deals on new trailers too. Economics works both ways.

RE: Tire sidewall Blowout

I agree with Ken, at least 16" tires, E rated with 80 lbs in them. Or even better for a 15,000 lb trailer, G rated with 110 lbs.

RE: Water Pressure

I quit using pressure regulators a long time ago for the same problems Brewco mentions. Last CG, pressure was 70 psi but most are under 50 psi that I have come across. No problems.

RE: It's time to fight back!

I would think that a "little deal" is better than a "no deal". The little deals add up.

RE: no fuss flush don't work

I had this problem once when I hadn't used the flush for a couple of months. Turned out that the connection between the flush connection and black tank was plugged. Had to take the belly down to get to the connection. It was plugged with a grayish substance. I used a tooth brush to ream it out with. Good Luck.

RE: Pressure washing (or not)

It sounds like those that do use a pressure washer use it "At a distance". Sounds like the same resuslt you would get using a hose with a nozzle (-:
Asside from cleaning the wheels and tires I keep my pressure washer from my coach.
jim
Ahh, but you use much much less water, no mud puddles around the trailer.

RE: Pressure washing (or not)

I use a pressure washer for first rinse (at a distance),then use a brush to wash and pressure washer (at a distance) to rinse.

True, solar is expensive initally but it is much quietier and no maintenance and no fuel to buy. Does help to have sun but it is free.
